EoP003: Urban Mapping and Generative AI Workshop and Reading Group

Meet at Prince Edward station.
Following the last two panel discussions on urban practice and technology, the next workshop and reading group will integrate the two topics into a one-day event in Prince Edward. It will include an urban mapping exercise around the Flower Market to gather data collectively for the generative AI workshop in the afternoon. In between the action-based workshop activities, there will be a reading group to initiate discussion mapping and generative AI practice.
The workshop and reading group will be led by Melody Yiu and Ashley Lee Wong, with technical support from Andrew Crowe from MetaObjects and Edwin Lo.
This event is organised by the Ecologies of Participation initiative (EoP) and supported by the Research Institute for The Humanities, CUHK.

About EoP
Ecologies of Participation (EoP) Research Collective was initiated by Yim Sui Fong (Assistant Professor of Fine Arts), Melody Yiu (Research Assistant Professor of Architecture) and Ashley Lee Wong (Assistant Professor of Cultural Studies) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2024. The research initiative aims to develop practice-based collaborations between the creative arts, architecture and media and cultural studies.
