A RIH sponsored RPg Interdisciplinary Reading Group

This RPg reading group explores the intersections of environment, politics, history, literature, philosophy, law, anthropology, fine arts, and music from a global humanities perspective. Through fiction, poetry, personal essays, memoirs, ethnographic accounts, religious texts, and artistic expressions, the group examines urgent ecological issues—climate change, species extinction, extractivism, colonial ecologies, and the legal personhood of nature—through diverse cultural and disciplinary lenses. Bringing together students and faculty from across the arts and humanities, the group fosters cross-departmental collaboration and builds a shared vocabulary for environmental thinking.
